Our instructors tailor each class to the specific needs of our students.  With our outlined goals in each class, we strive to inculcate our students with the proper tools and mindset to succeed. All we ask from our students is to bring a willingness to learn.

 

Introduction to Firearms

Course cost: $35.00- $85.00

second-amendment1_t670This course applies to the novice owner/ operator of any firearm. The Course content: assembly and dis- assembly, Malfunctions, zeroing, and Cleaning, Lubricating and Maintenance. Ballistics and aftermarket options will be discussed.

Prerequisites: Own an firearm.

Additional Equipment: Sling in good working order or holster, minimum 3 working magazines and 100 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, a maintenance kit, eye and ear protection, and an open mind are needed.

Florida CarryFlorida Concealed Weapon Classes

Thursdays @ 5:30pm (Offered weekly, walk-ins welcome)

Course Fee: $75

This NRA approved course covers the proper concealment of a handgun and techniques for shooting from concealment.  This course design is  for an individual with a basic understanding of handgun employment including proper round selection and safe handling. The course also uses the  “Florida Firearms Law, Use & Ownership” (Latest Edition) by: Jon H. Gutmacher, Esq. as a supplemental source and is a required purchase for the course (included in purchase price).  Students will be expected to shoot a live fire at our indoor range. Firearms and ammunition are NOT provided unless arrangements are made in advance (additional fees apply).

Group, evening and private classes are available by appointment

LadySafe I: 4+ Hour

Course cost: $135.00- $165.00 (w/ Florida CCW class included)

Lady-Safe-150x150This course applies to beginner shooters as well as advanced owner operators’ of a firearm and interested in a well rounded security centered course. The Course content: a threat assessment of current lifestyle choices, other means of self- defense, concealed carry on and off- body carry, assembly and disassembly, Malfunctions, zeroing, and Cleaning, Lubricating and Maintenance. Ballistics and aftermarket sight options will be discussed.

Prerequisites: Own a firearm and possess a valid Florida Concealed Weapons Permit.

Are you a new shooter or are you just looking to improve your shooting skills? Our Lady Safe handgun class is for women only and will provide  you with a low intensity defensive training class that doesn’t feel like Boot camp. We focus on teaching you an Intuitive Reactive Shooting style that  will increase your accuracy allowing you to put all your rounds on target in a High Stress Encounter. We will sharpen your defensive mindset and situational awareness to help you avoid a bad situation.

  • Primary pistol (what you carry or compete with)
  • Spare magazines (3 minimum, the more the better) or 2 speed loaders (if using a revolver)

Additional Equipment: Purse/diaper bag in good working order, Holster (concealable) minimum 3 working magazine’s / speed loaders / moon or stellar clips. Additionally, a maintenance kit, eye and ear protection, and an open mind are needed.

Course cost: $200.00

This course design builds upon lessons and information learned in LadySafe I. This includes shooting on the move, moving around obstacles, and using other means with little ones in the mix.

Prerequisites: Satisfactory completion of LadySafe I.

Additional Equipment: Sling in good working order, minimum 3 working magazines and 200- 400 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, a maintenance kit, eye and ear protection, and an open mind are needed.

Course Outline: Range safety rules and commands, Situational awareness, Mindset, Pistol nomenclature, Gear selection and proper equipment placement, Pistol sight-in, Bullet placement and multiple shots, Target identification, Shooting from concealment, Reloading from concealment, Shooting from various distances.

Handgun handling: Stance, Grip, Breathing, Trigger control, Sight alignment, Target identification, Multiple targets, Various reloading options, Transitional shooting, Malfunction drills, One-handed shooting and manipulation, Shooting on the move, Utilizing cover.

Course fee- $200.00

This pistol course is focused on modern defensive shooting, handgun familiarization, and safe weapons handling techniques. Progressing through the class the student will build a “fight ready” mind set. This class is primarily an on-range class with students running multiple live fire drills to practice the skills taught. The class is designed to teach advanced drills for the serious shooter. Course content: the use of cover and types of cover, standing, kneeling, prone positions, multiple target engagement, malfunction drills, reloading techniques, stress fire, and one-handed shooting and manipulation.

Ammunition Required: 300 – 400 rounds

Prerequisites: All students must have a concealed weapons permit and have successfully completed our Defensive Handgun I class.

Advanced Courses

 

adv-cc-class-150x150Advanced Concealed Handgun Class : 4-6 Hours

Course Fee: $175.00

This 4-6 hour course addresses various techniques for carrying a handgun concealed. This pistol course will guide you through the basics of utilizing your firearm under stress conditions and what to do if you are involved in a shooting – post shooting trauma, mind set and personal awareness. Areas covered include: Concealed carry holsters and options, drawing from concealed carry, ammunition selection, stance, trigger control, realistic ranges. Course includes an introduction to firearms retention techniques, close-quarter shooting, pre-fight and post-fight issues.

Ammunition Required: 200-250 rounds

Prerequisites: All students must have a valid concealed weapon permit. Please dress for the class in same clothing you would NORMALLY wear while carrying your firearm (no open toe shoes, no v neck tops).

Course Outline: Range safety rules and commands, Situational awareness and mindset, Carbine nomenclature, Gear selection and proper equipment placement sight-in, Bullet placement and multiple shots, Target identification, Shooting from concealment, Reloading from concealment, Shooting from various distances, Protecting your partner / family, Engaging the threat with obstacles, Engaging multiple threats / multiple targets, Shooting in confined spaces

Carbine Handling: Stance, Grip, Breathing, Trigger control, Sight alignment, Multiple targets, various reloading options, transitional shooting, malfunction drills, One-handed shooting and manipulation, Shooting on the move, Utilizing cover. We will also work on form vs. function with your carbine helping you decide what works and what doesn’t in the Civilian world.

Defensive Carbine II – Two Day

Course Cost -$225.00

AMMO REQUIREMENT – 600-800 ROUNDS RIFLE/300- 400 ROUNDS PISTOL

Course Outline –

Our Level II – This course focuses on reinforcing previously learned techniques and concepts, and laying down the foundations for advanced concepts. Many of the drills will be the same as the Level I course, but at an elevated pace.

Day One: Courses of Fire:

  • Level 1 Course Review
  • Modified Firing Positions
  • Use of Cover and Concealment
  • Buddy Team Movement
  • Stress Shoot
  • Buddy Team Stress Shoot
  • Casualty Drills
  • Low Light Shooting

At the end of the course students should feel increasingly familiarized with their weapon, and comfortable with all reinforced topics and drills. Students will have a grasp on tactical thinking, and a strong knowledge of what is required for them to improve.

Day Two –

After a review of first day topics, second day topics will include: increased spatial awareness, firing and moving, utilizing cover while firing, engaging multiple targets, engaging multiple targets while moving as a 2-man team, and an introduction to space clearing. Second day courses of fire will include: firing and moving drills, firing from cover drills, multiple target engagement drills alone and as a 2-man team, glass house drills, and a space clearing drills.

At the end of the course students should feel increasingly familiarized with their weapon, and comfortable with all topics and drills. Students will have a strong knowledge of what is required for them to improve.

AR Maintenance Course: 2 Hour

Course cost: $ 65.00

The Course content: assembly and disassembly, Direct Impingement Theory and Gas Piston System, BRM, Malfunctions, zeroing, and Cleaning, Lubricating and Maintenance. Ballistics and aftermarket sight options will be discussed.

Prerequisites: Own an AR platform rifle or carbine and a good attitude.

Additional Equipment: Sling in good working order, minimum 3 working magazines and 100 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, a maintenance kit, eye and ear protection, and an open mind are needed.

AK47-150x150AK Maintenance Course: 2 Hour

This course applies to the novice owner operator of an AK platform carbine/ rifle. The Course content: assembly and dis-assembly, Gas Piston System, BRM, Malfunctions, zeroing, and Cleaning, Lubricating and Maintenance. Ballistics and aftermarket sight options will be discussed

Prerequisites: Own an AK platform rifle or carbine and a good attitude.

Additional Equipment: Sling in good working order, minimum 3 working magazines and 100 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, a maintenance kit, eye and ear protection, and an open mind are needed.

Glock / M&P (Polymer Pistol) Maintenance Course: 2 hours

This course applies to the novice owner operator of the Glock/ M&P polymer family of pistols. The Course content: assembly and dis-assembly, Striker- fire/ Hammer- fire system overview, malfunctions, zeroing, and cleaning, lubricating and maintenance. Ballistics and aftermarket options will be discussed.

Prerequisites: Own an Glock/ M&P or other polymer frame pistol and a good attitude.

Additional Equipment: A holster in good working order, minimum 3 working magazines and 100 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, a maintenance kit, eye and ear protection, and an open mind are needed.
